Notes: Oregon Pioneer of 1853 The ledger lists him as Henry Parrott, but the birth date, death date, and burial date match for the monument of Henry Parrett. Brother of William and Samuel Parrett; Husband of Martha J. (Ellison) Parrett; Father of Samuel L., John Henry, William W., and Charles A. Parrett.

Family Contributions: Traveled by ship around the horn of South America. Henry Parrett arrived in Oregon in 1853 aboard the British ship, Josephine. Along with his two brothers William and Samuel, Henry settled adjacent land claims on Wild Horse Mountain, known today as Parrett Mountain. Henry remained a bachelor for many years, diligently improving his land claim and building his farm. After he married in 1867 he replaced his cabin with a proper house and also donated the land for the Parrett Mountain School.
