Marker shows death in 1910, but ledger lists burial date as 1909; obituary from 19 Aug 1909 would indicate that the marker date is in error. Daughter of Nettie Young Brown in 88-5 and J.P. Young in 88-6. Granddaughter of William Shelby Young in 72-10. Great granddaughter of George W. and Anna Bailey in 72-3, 4.

Opal Bernice Young.

(Special Dispatch to The Journal.)

Sherwood, Or., Aug. 19.--Opal Bernice, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Young, died at their home near Sherwood, Washington county, Or., of diabetes, the result of an attack of typhoid fever last fall. She leaves, besides her parents, three sisters, Myrtle, Alda and Letha.

Funeral services were held Monday at 1 p.m. at the home, by Rev. George Coleman of the Congregational church assisted by the choir of Sherwood. The pallbearers were Pearl Baker, Ella Smith, Lois Case, Nina Case, Martha Hoffman and Hallie Knecht, all classmates of the deceased.
