Family Contribution: Elizabeth was probably born in Kansas where her father, Thomas Ashpole, and her stepmother, Martha Jane Ellison, were living. Her stepmother later married Henry Parrett in Oregon in 1867 and was the mother of Samuel Larkin, John Henry, William Walter, and Charles Addison Parrett.
